But instead of settling for a store-bought option, I decided to put my trusty air fryer to work and whip up my own creation. The result? The best breakfast sandwich I've ever made right in the comfort of my own kitchen.

The air fryer has become my go-to kitchen appliance for its ability to cook food quickly and evenly while still achieving that coveted crispiness. And when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, it delivers perfection every time. With just a few simple ingredients and a mere 10 minutes of your time, you can enjoy a delicious and protein-packed breakfast that will fuel your day ahead.


What You'll Need:

  • 2 slices of your favorite bread (I opt for Dave's Killer thin slice)

  • 2 pieces of bacon (or turkey bacon for a lighter option)

  • 2 eggs

  • Country Crock dairy-free butter (or regular butter)

  • Optional toppings: arugula, cheese (for those who can tolerate lactose)


Instructions:

  1. Begin by spreading a small amount of butter on both sides of each slice of bread.

  2. Next, arrange the bacon slices on top of one slice of bread, forming a circular mold for the egg.

  3. Carefully place the prepared toast into a sprayed air fryer basket.

  4. Crack one egg into each bacon mold.

  5. Cook in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 7-10 minutes, depending on your desired level of egg doneness. For firmer eggs, cook for a longer duration.

  6. Once cooked, remove the sandwich from the air fryer and add any desired toppings, such as arugula or cheese.
